With a career that began at Mazagon Docks and spanned across the Middle East and Europe, Mr. Alex has held diverse roles including Superintendent, Owner’s Representative, Class Surveyor, and Senior Management in shipyards. Currently serving as a consultant and trainer, he brought a wealth of experience to the session, presenting the commercial aspects of ship repair through personal insights and professional anecdotes.

The webinar explored key commercial procedures involved in ship repair, emphasizing the terms and conditions essential for drydocking and repair operations. Mr. Alex introduced a Shipyard Selection Matrix, offering participants a structured approach to evaluating shipyards. The session concluded with a practical cost estimation exercise focused on steel and piping specifications, followed by a dynamic Q&A segment where students engaged with thought-provoking questions.

The 2.5-hour event ended with Mr. Satheesh Babu presenting a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Alex, recognizing his valuable contribution.
